Field trips PYP 1 to 4

Within every Unit of Inquiry the students go on field trips with their teachers to explore the nature and everyday life outside of school.

During the first Unit ISC organized the following excursions:

PYP 1 went to the forest near Wernberg. The enjoyed an exciting day and learned about the nature and the animals. In the end the roasted sausages on the fire place.

PYP 2 explored the S.N.I.S Project at Stockenboi and made the experience of baking bread and weaving baskets. They found out how people lived a hundred years ago.

PYP 3 + 4 visited the Straßenbauamt Villach and joined a guided tour through the city center. Back to school the students tried to build their own city according to the presented guidelines.

Field trip to Trieste

The grades 3-4 traveled to Trieste to learn more about their units of Navigation and Cultures and to meet the students from the International School of Trieste. The Museum of the Sea, in which we learned more about the navigation instruments and ships, was our first stop followed by a yummy lunch at the International School in Trieste (IST). Our students appreciated spending time and playing with the 4th graders from IST. Our last stop was the History museum in which we could see many ancient artifacts. In all, we spent a wonderful day! written by A. Costa
