Scott French (PYP 2a)

I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia.  While I am proud of where I come from, I always felt there was more to the world than our immediate environments.  Throughout secondary school I discovered an interest in mentoring younger students in music theory which evolved into my love of teaching.  Shortly after completion of school I backpacked around Europe to broaden my horizons and take in the beauty of the world.  I returned to Australia where I studied and completed a Bachelor of Applied Music and a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary and Secondary).

I began my teaching practice in secondary schools as a relief teacher, providing lessons in music, drama, humanities, and English. Since then, I worked my way down through the grade levels until settling in the early primary years.  I have worked at IB schools in Melbourne, Australia and most recently Ningbo, China, where I mentored student and graduate teachers, assisted with IB verification, and became a lifelong member of these school communities.

I am excited to be joining the ISC community and working alongside my colleagues to further develop this great school.  I look forward to learning with all our students and exploring new adventures together.
