Jennifer Navarre (PYP 2b)

Hello! My name is Jennifer Navarre and I am thrilled to be part of the ISC team as a PYP 1 teacher. I am especially excited to work with first grade students as they extend their reading and writing skills and continue to develop their cultural awareness and understanding of our amazing world. During my 15+ years in education, I have had the pleasure of teaching grades K-8. I am certified in both Montessori and gifted and talented education.

Southern California is where I call home, but I also lived in Saudi Arabia for 5 years before returning to the US to attend high school. I completed my B.A. at the University of Nevada-Reno and earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K-8) at Chapman University in San Diego, California. I immediately started teaching for the San Diego Unified School District before taking a few years off to raise my two daughters, Sophia and Amelia, who are now 16 and 14. Seeking to find a more family friendly city we moved to Portland, Oregon where I taught for the Lake Oswego School District.
We jumped at the chance to move to Villach in 2011 knowing that living in a different county and learning a new language would be an incredible experience. Soon after we arrived in Villach I was offered a teaching position with the Diakonie de La Tour Lernraum in Klagenfurt for one year. Since 20I2 I’ve been teaching at the Montessori NMS in Treffen.

My family and I believe Carinthia is one of the best places to live and we look forward to our continued future here.

Meeting Time: By appointment. Please e-mail Ms. Navarre directly.
